OLUWO AS USUAL
I’m a Muslim. Aside listening to Qur’an recitation, one other thing I do most is, reading the Zuna of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). I’ve read of one of the Sabes who was appointed a leader. He would go around the town every now and then to check people’s welfare, the state of amenities mostly roads. One day, one of the residents stumbled as his leg hitted a stone due to bad road. He started weeping and wept profusely, assumed what would be his judgement when God queries him of why he failed to fix the road as a leader.
Oluwo, in his usual surveillance of the town, with his staff, not minding the unfriendly chilled weather, trekked to check some portions of the roads in town. Weighing the damaging effects, he stopped over at many dilapidated joints of the road with a view to mobilize resources for immediate patching.
Joined by the Baale of Papa, High Highness, Ademola Adegoke, conducted full assessment. At the joint, Baale of Papa requested from Oluwo that he allowed him to complement his gesture. Immediately, Baale Papa donated Cements and sand for the repair of the dilapidated portions of the road.
This is leadership by merit. Even without popular demand, a leader knows what should be done. Oluwo will think of what next to be done. He doesn’t wait for anyone. He prays to God for more blessing to assist his humanitarian service. Putting smile on people’s faces is the usual way of Oluwo, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi Alase Lori Orisha,Telu I.
