Looting: Oluwo Appreciates Residents Who Defended the Palace

Looting: Oluwo Appreciates Residents Who Defended the Palace, Shunned Looting.

I express my sincere appreciation to patriotic citizens and residents of Iwoland who toed the path of honour yesterday by defending the palace and refused to participate in the looting of public and private assets.

To those in this category, your sacrifice is noted. You defended your heritage and refused to participate in looting our local government.

To the looters who used the porous security advantage, it is unjustifiable. Iwo is a city of hope. I’ve said it times without numbers that my Palace is opened for your complaints and requests. I sustain my food and clothing bank to cater for you. If you are not happy with any politician, you should have tendered your grievances and not resorting to looting.

The recent and current happenings in Nigeria, Iwo inclusive have posed a great challenge to political leaders to be more responsible to their responsibilities. The best service is the one to humanity.

I identify with Iwo Local Government, Senator Adelere Oriolowo, Hon. Yinusa Amobi and Hon. Gafar Amere. May God replenish you in manifold.

Special appreciation to Taa’wun security, palace support coupled with your tenacity prevented the burning of our local government. I’m happy you are always in the good book of history.

We hereby warn the black sheep to turn a new leaf as we may begin to blacklist them should they fail to.

I enjoin us all to be peace loving and civil in our approach to fragile issue. Iwo is moving, let not promote retrogression. We greater than yesterday and we pray to be better tomorrow, by God’s grace.

Alli Ibraheem,CPS to Oluwo
